The Ocean Beach Kiwi Surf Life Saving Club been patrolling Ocean Beach since 1965. Ocean Beach, an easy drive from Napier and Hastings, is becoming Hawke's Bay's most popular beach attracting large crowds of beach goers during the summer months. Being an exposed surf beach it can at times become very dangerous so a strong Surf Club with a healthy membership is therefore essential on this particular beach.

We provide a summer weekend surf patrol on Saturday from 12 - 5 pm and on Sunday 10 - 5pm. Patrols start in November and finish in March.
